Inventory : Getting it in a warehouse and moving it around

Often the question comes up of how to move inventory from warehouse to warehouse. Well, the first thing that you need to do is put something into a warehouse.

Basically, go into the Shipping menu.

You will need to "receive" the items. So select Receive. If you do not enter anything and hit continue, you will get a list of all the Purchase orders. You can then select one, and mark items as received, and specify which warehouse they were received to.

Then, you can use Transfer Inventory to move items from one warehouse to another. Choose the Transfer from and Transfer to warehouses, and then if you hit continue, you will be able to select which parts to transfer, and then to specify how many.
